Why Its Important to Show Up to Class

Why Its Important to Show Up to Class There is a stigma in college that one does not need to show up to class. First, let me tell you that this is not true, as you future Illini will quickly find out. But showing up means more than physically being at class. It is important to mentally show up, too. So today, Im going to give you some fool proof tips on how to show up to college classes. 1. Wake up early.  Waking up a few hours before your first class gives you time to wake up your brain. Go for a walk and eat a healthy breakfast to hit the day with full force! 2. Want to be in class.  In college, you will be in a situation where attendance is not always mandatory. It is your job to put in the effort if you want to succeed. When in class, always try your hardest and put in the time and work for success. Photo by Rachel Hernandez 3. Participate.  This is the best advice I can give. Participation is linked to so many great things: better grades, more fun classes, and higher positivity. If you participate in class, the time will fly, and you will be amazed at how much more information you remember! Although I now reside in Champaign, I am originally from Vernon Hills, a Northwest suburb of Chicago.
